            Randell S. Van Alst was born March 19, 1965 in the small community of McCutchenville, Ohio. He was born on what is said to be sacred ground that of a Mohawk Indian burial ground. According to local legend, two settlers, who built their homestead on the burial site, “acquired” the property in the early 1700’s. 

        In retaliation, the two settlers were brutally murdered by the Indians. The blood soaked wood beams could still be seen below the place of the slaughter. Over that exact spot is where Randell was born. He lived off and on property throughout his early childhood.  Due to the property’s violent history, the house and the surrounding land were extremely active with paranormal activity.

        As a child, Randell experienced countless paranormal events, from graphic and intense dreams to ghostly apparitions. The explicit dreams as well as other paranormal experiences continued throughout his life.  Due to his experiences with paranormal, Randell decided to research other haunted places. Being contaminated by that of the flesh,

He decided to give his life to God, becoming a “reborn” believer. He started praying to the Father for guidance, and reading the Holy Bible. He soon found out that to “see” the Spirit, one must “step away” from the flesh.  He founded Van Alst Spirit Investigations based in Albuquerque, New Mexico in late 1999.Van Alst Spirit Investigations offers Spirit Investigations and spiritual counsel free of charge.

Randell wrote his first book, “Ghosts in Reality: the unexplained truth about hauntings in our world today,” based on his personal experiences, Investigations, and ghost hunting research. The book was published in August 2003. The book covers many various topics on the subject of ghosts and hauntings.

        After the book’s release, the ghostly experiences intensified. He decided to research other “levels” of paranormal phenomena. This research led him to write, “the Death Report.” The manuscript is about human history of the dead, and how mankind interprets death.  This literature is complete, but remains unpublished. 

Randell Van Alst continues to research all levels of the afterlife. Both Benevolent and malevolent. He puts intense study into all phases on ghosts and hauntings. Everything from residual hauntings, Poltergeist activity, Spirit Photography, OBE’s (out of body experiences,) NDE’s, (near death experiences,) to Exorcisms. From this research, he wrote his next manuscript, “The Spirit Human.” The writings are, at this time, in progress.
